Main MSP Services for 2022
Companies have traditionally relied on internal departments to manage their IT needs. Typically, any average IT department will be staffed with IT administrators, technical support and system engineers that will take care of anything to do with IT. However, small and medium-sized businesses may not have the resources to employ a dedicated IT team, sometimes because they are not large enough to justify investing into one, or in other occasions they just need IT support offered as a service. In those situations, managed service provider steps in.
Now more than ever, businesses are fully dependent on IT, but not so much interested in managing it. In this current scenario MSPs are becoming increasingly important as they can remove the complexity of IT and let their clients focus on their core business.
But what are the main services MSPs are focusing on?
Our data shows that the main core services managed service providers cover include cybersecurity, cloud services, helpdesk, and Infrastructure. Each of these areas comes with a range of IT services associated with, as seen in the chart below:
The services and technologies that have been most offered by Managed Service Providers in 2021 has already been discussed in a previous post. Based on our data, we do not expect big changes in 2022 except for some emerging automation services.
The most challenging aspects for MSPs will be to maintain or improve their SLAs with an ever-shrinking pool of professionals available in the job market. Therefore, automation will be a critical element in helping meet next year’s goals.
