Having been with the same IT solutions provider for 20+ years I had to convince my Partners that bringing a fresh approach to our IT infrastructure was the best move for the Firm. It wasn't so much about cost saving, but more about an improved quality of support and service. As with all our suppliers, I had to be sure that Calibre were going to work with us as a business partnership, who we could trust to deliver the solutions without being blinded by the technical 'geeky' jargon. No one likes getting things wrong, but it really has been a successful switch! We are now in our third year of their support and have an improved IT infrastructure to take us forward and develop as we continue to constantly challenge the responsive support service in delivering solutions to our increasing demands. The Calibre team are great to work with and when we give them challenges - they find and implement the solutions.

As a teacher time is a luxury. Having the time to teach and develop resources was a distant memory as more of my time was spent managing the network. We have 550 pupils with 80 members of staff and over 350 devices for our users which ranges from ipads, laptops and desktop computers. We value Calibre's expertise with our Hyper-V infrastructure and we trust them to manage it so we as a school can concentrate on the important thing; the pupils.
We have found Calibre Connections and their staff inspirational. Not only do they conduct their services in a professional way they take time to ensure that staff (IT and non-IT) understand what is needed. Time after time they have resolved problems before we even have had time to report them! Their customer service and 1:1 dedicated staff when issues occur are brilliant. They are always only a phone call away.
When I look back before we took out support with Calibre, we had invested into our system but not on the correct way to manage it and get the best out of it. They have ensured we have a reliable system and very minimal downtime. To date, we have had 100% uptime!
When we look back at their service, its value for money. We looked very closely at 5 other companies to manage our infrastructure, not only did Calibre present the best pitch but they were also the most cost effective. What really impressed me with Calibre was their no obligation site visit. They were truthful and Sam’s exact words were, “we don’t make money on a system which breaks down all the time, we only make money when you are happy and when your system does not cause any user issues or problems”. Not only is this philosophy a good business model but it also benefits us as a school.
