We needed a partner that knows our industry and the critical applications we depend on daily.
Before meeting Matt Newton of Oosha, I was far from certain as to what direction my firm should take regarding IT development. He quickly grasped our business requirements and had little hesitation in offering the Oosha UK Public cloud – encouraging us to move away from on-premise solutions from a continuity perspective. Oosha’s understanding of us and the legal sector as a whole, coupled with the transparency of costs and honest approach to business, were the key reasons why my firm partnered with Oosha 2 years ago and it has been a great partnership since.
Oosha played a crucial role during a critical period at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and with their help and expertise we were able to rapidly pivot into a remote working model with minimal disruption to our business and the service provided to our clients. Initially, we partnered with Oosha for the Managed User Support and we’ve recently extended that partnership to include a new Modern Workplace cloud solution that will further improve our user experience and ability to collaborate effectively using Teams.
It’s a real joint endeavour – as well as fixing problems, Oosha is proactive at highlighting opportunities for user training, improvement and trends it sees in the industry that we could turn to our advantage. For example, Oosha has been able to flag challenges other firms have experienced with upgrading or moving between different products, which has enabled the IT team to be more on the front foot for users when change occurs.
The key reason we chose Oosha was the cultural fit. With Oosha, we felt like we could just pick up the phone and any issues would get sorted. If we ever needed to, we also felt we could escalate issues right to the top of the business. When our guys phone Oosha, there’s a sort of warm fuzzy feeling, which means people will always phone Oosha as the first port of call, rather than thinking of an in-house solution. Oosha’s agile approach and quick-footed nature also help us make rapid decisions when we need to.
Our relationship with Oosha has come in two stages, the first began at the end of April 2020 when we started receiving IT support, this was done remotely at the same time as moving everyone to remote working but it all went smoothly and Oosha managed it brilliantly. The second was to move from our previous cloud platform which was based on older RDS technology. With RDS you could really tell when you left your local machine and it didn’t allow for the use of Teams or Zoom video calls in the secure cloud session. This is in complete contrast to our new VDI solution - the way it feels, the way things move about in there, the way you interact with it - all feels as though you're working on your local machine, and not through the cloud. This has created a truly seamless user experience for our team.
The team at Oosha has a high level of knowledge and has helped us to maintain uptime across our network.
It says a great deal when your IT partner understands your requirements better than you do.
