I felt completely free to express all my worries and concerns, be very open with Circle and say ‘that doesn’t work for us’ or ‘the budget doesn’t fit’. So from that point of view, the conversation was always very open and honest and there was never any upselling or pressure to go further than we needed to. In terms of ease of technical support and guidance, the pre-sales with Gavin was brilliant so everyone was really informed on what decision we should make and why we should make it. Gavin did several Teams sessions with us where we had designs up on the screen and then had several emails back and forth discussing things so I really felt like all of our questions were addressed and answered. I felt it was a very supportive process.
By virtualising our server environment we have been able to minimise our hardware requirements, make valuable savings and safeguard our operations against possible disasters arising from computer failures. The new disaster recovery system protects our storage area network in two different locations and the high availability afforded by a virtualised environment enables us to retrieve data quickly, enabling systems to be restored rapidly with significantly less downtime than before.
We awarded this contract to Circle IT for several reasons - their extensive experience in virtualisation and disaster recovery, their best practice advice and track record, and combined with their competitive pricing and exceptional quality of service made them the best possible choice of partner for this project.Once we started putting the foundations in place, we found Dell and Circle IT had the solutions we needed to give us a modern network that would allow us to excel.
Clearly the technology was important, but we were also keen to establish a relationship with our IT provider. We wanted a trusted advisor, which could help with the strategy and through the design, deployment and support stages.
Circle IT demonstrates an enviable work ethic of straight-talking, sincerity and flexibility that I have not come across before in an IT provider. They have also become a strategic partner for the college, as they have advised us on future initiatives so that we can shape a scalable and flexible IT infrastructure.
The work that we did with Circle IT can only be described in one way – transformational! Our resulting infrastructure and strategy creates a future proof platform to meet the growing demands of media rich teaching and learning, and data-driven organisational management.
The Citrix solution proposed by Circle IT enabled us to centralise our applications and run them remotely without any impact on application responsiveness. This means that our staff can work seamlessly wherever they are, and we can improve service to our clients.
