Initially it was just the name of ASI’s server based offsite backup product, however it eventually grew to include other services such as website and email hosting. In October of 2010, a Fortune 500 healthcare distributor acquired ASI. As part of that process, all ancillary services not part of ASI’s core business were spun off into a separate company.
