It was considerably beneficial having the expert advice of Spark Health and CCL assisting our teams in adopting the modern practices of provisioning, configuring, and managing our Digital infrastructure as code. Together we have achieved a significant step on the journey to having the agile, robust and efficient platforms and practices needed to take us into the future of digital healthcare.
The knowledge transfer was hugely valuable. It’s been one of the best projects with a vendor I’ve done in the long time. I’m really impressed, and our developers learnt a hell of a lot.
CCL knows their stuff. It’s easy to pitch applications to the cloud, but there are different ways to do the same things. There’s a right way and a way that leads to some very big bills.
The result was pleasingly successful. The effort from our internal engineers and CCL that went into standing up the new platform was massive – 24-36 hours solid. It saved our ability to take calls from the public.
CCL’s management overlay is a huge value add, introducing practices to make it easier to manage our environment, and transparency to put internal and external teams on the same page. The ability to get the attention of an individual rather than just an 0800 helpdesk is extremely comforting.
CCL recommended AWS. Certainly, the price is sharp and everything is more scalable.
CCL has been outstanding. They understand our key drivers and co-created a hybrid cloud architecture with the flexibility that allows us to be agile and manage risk and opportunities as they arise.
CCL is good at approaching business tech from different angles – from in-country to the ether, and all things in between.
We might be a small autonomous business in New Zealand, but we have a large Japanese parent. Governance is very important to us and our owners, so we’ve got to be confident of our capability. CCL’s practices and policies are their great strength!
We have had relationships with a number of ICT organisations, some good some not so good. What I have seen over the years is that CCL deliver state of the art solutions, they are reliable, they do what they say they will do and they have a team of skilled customer focused people without the bureaucracy of other organisations.

Lincoln University choose CCL to partner for a multitude of reasons, in 2012, the key points however being that our IT engineering team had a high level of confidence in the CCL engineering team above all other competing organisations due to their professionalism, competency and can do attitude. And from my perspective, having Darryl and Andrew as owners of the business working in the business, I knew that should it ever be needed I can contact the owners 24/7 and they will respond with urgency and passion.
