Tesserent is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Consultant to collaborate with our clients across a range of including architecture design and reviews, cloud security roadmap development, implementation and security strategies, and design of critical security control products. 

You will be collaborating closely with clients to build strong relationships, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences both technical and non-technical.  

The role can be based in either Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney. Australian Citizenship is required for the role with an NV1 AGSVA Clearance preferred. 

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Design and implement secure solutions, adhering to industry best practices and compliance requirements. 
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud security solutions (e.g., CASBs, CSPM, identity and access management) based on client needs and cloud provider offerings. 
  • Review cloud environments and provide advice and support in uplifting the security of these environments. 
  • Stay abreast of emerging security technologies and industry trends. 
  • Identify, advise and recommend appropriate cyber security controls, services, and technologies 
  • Work with clients in the development of security strategies and roadmaps 
  • Assist with internal capability development across security architecture 
  • Work as part of a broader team to ensure our clients are protected with the most up to date solutions in the industry 
  • Work collaboratively within the team to scope professional services engagements delivered together with security control products 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE  

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in security architecture or design roles with broad knowledge across multiple domains (network, identity, compute, cloud, policy, operations) 
  • Demonstrated experience with cyber security frameworks (ASD8, CIS, NIST, ISO) 
  • Relevant Cyber Security certification such as CISSP, CISM or AWS/Azure is highly desirable 
  • Proven ability to lead customer engagements 
  • Exposure or design experience in one or more public cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)  
  • Understanding of current technology stacks such as EDR, SWG & CASB, SIEM/SOAR, Zero Trust frameworks a bonus 
  • Passionate about cyber security and helping guide customers to adopt leading solutions 
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and people skills
