Join Our Team as an Audio Visual and Desktop Technician

Are you an experienced Desktop Support Technician with a passion for audio visual technology? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our growing team in Sydney. As an Audio Visual and Desktop Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining organizational computer systems, desktops, laptops, peripherals, and audiovisual equipment. Your responsibilities will include operating, setting up, and maintaining audio and visual equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, providing technical support to clients, and collaborating with a wider team on client sites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, set up, and maintain audio and visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, microphones, and other equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to both audiovisual and IT systems and provide solutions.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients regarding audiovisual and IT systems.
  • Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking.
  • Follow up on incidents and requests until resolution is found, or escalate to the next resolver group.
  • Guide users through installing applications and computer peripherals.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting and explore alternative pathways until an issue is resolved.
  • Customize desktop applications to meet user needs.
  • Record technical issues and solutions in logs and follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional.
  • Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of new and outgoing staff, including imaging devices.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
  • Technical understanding of audiovisual and IT systems.
  • Up-to-date awareness of AV technologies and their features.
  • Expertise in video conferencing and broadcast systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of the architectural, cabling, and control system requirements of AV technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, such as printers and scanners.
  • Knowledge of SCCM packaging and deployment will be highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow service management toolset is also highly regarded.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • A positive mindset that values teamwork and collaboration.
