We are seeking an Application & Database Analyst with strong experience in requirements gathering. You'll be supporting our education clients in application development and database management including report building and data integration services.

You will play a key role in the improvement of the school's teaching and learning experience by identifying opportunities in consultation with users, understanding their requirements, and identifying improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide database administration, management, and application support as required.
• Database development and database management including data integration, data extraction, and manipulation.
• Generation of well-performing SQL queries, complex stored procedures, and other T-SQL objects.
• Act as an escalation point for database and application support issues.
• Customise application functionalities to user requirements.
• Troubleshoot, prioritise, and resolve application and data support requests.
• Complete any data extraction / push to other systems as required.
• Write reports on application programs based on data analysis, outlining areas that need improvement and creating suggestions to streamline application software functions.
• Continuously report and assess analytics for data visualisation.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to discuss reporting and data requirements.

To be successful in the role you will bring the following:

You have a background in the development and management of databases (SQL Server), preferably in a client focused environment. Your skillset spans the following:

• Experience in development and management of databases (SQL Server), preferably in a client focused environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or .NET Development.
• Solid experience in application/database (SQL) development and administration and management and using web services / APIs to manage data and system integrations.
• Requirements gathering and ability to ask the right questions to understand business needs.
• Proven experience in implementing and operationalising system integration and in developing and implementing workflow solutions.
• Experience with modelling, analytics, and scripting and extensive database knowledge in MS SQL.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and enhancement of system interfaces and customised application frameworks.
• Ability to create various reports using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and MS Power BI and create complex SSIS packages.
• Strong SharePoint skills and experience with the Microsoft Office 365 suite, and C# is preferable, not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide training and instruction to customers and staff members on software application functions and to explain highly technical issues in an easy-to-understand way.
• Australian driver's license and regular access to your own car.
