What you’ll be doing

Atturra, in partnership with a leading and well-known global organisation, is looking for a Senior SharePoint Consultant to join our rapidly growing team, to design and build systems and applications for Atturra’s customers. 

This role will be on a full time, contract basis based in Brisbane ideally, where you will have the capability to do a Fly In, Fly out of one week per month to Gladstone and a hybrid working model the other three weeks at their state-of-the-art office in Brisbane city. 

If you are a motivated self-starter, have strong SharePoint Consultancy experience and are looking for an exciting role that provides great diversity then this is the role for you. 

Responsibilities:

Provide application administration services for the SharePoint platforms that deliver mission critical services the agency and other customers including monitor of SharePoint platforms availability, timer jobs, disk space, backups and functionality and other closely associated systems to ensure the SharePoint environment uptime and performance is maximised

Monitor and undertake recovery of on-premise SharePoint environments including creation and execution of backups during testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan or its activation in the event of real disaster

Provide business support and resolution of technical problems for the SharePoint environment in accordance to defined Service Levels with liaison with customers and other agency technology teams

Establish and maintain release deployment processes and required tools supporting DevOps processes and activities including solution deployments, patches and upgrades

Advise customer Site Collection administrator’s and solution developers (internal and external) with best practice for SharePoint security, specifications and other configurable aspects to ensure industry best practices are maintained

Continually assess the SharePoint environments against industry best practice and trends in areas such as capacity planning, security, governance, deployments, operational support and technology integration and establish continuously improvement initiatives to address gaps

 

What will make you successful in this role? 

Extensive experience in managing day to day SharePoint environments both on premise and SharePoint Online in a large and complex service industry organisation

SharePoint formal qualification/certification in the Administration of SharePoint environments, including SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 365 Online

Experience in SharePoint Implementations, Training and Documentation

Technical Adoption and Change

Demonstrate experience in providing expert advice to technical teams as well as engagement with Senior Leadership on SharePoint best practices and user adoption and training strategies for SharePoint applications

Ideally with a Degree in Computer Science or similar

Desirable tech skills in SharePoint, Azure, M365

Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills and the demonstrated ability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers, vendors and stakeholders

Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, meet deadlines and achieve results with a customer focused approach
