An exciting opportunity has opened up within our growing Professional Services practice for a passionate and motivated Storage & Virtualisation Consultant.
In this role you will be responsible for analysing requirements, producing solution designs, implementation and troubleshooting infrastructure solutions across multiple client environments.
What will I be doing?
The Storage & Virtualisation Consultant will:
- Work within a highly collaborative team of passionate like-minded professionals;
- Deliver infrastructure solutions across multiple client environments, including:
- Server Technology – HPE ProLiant, Cisco UCS & Dell PowerEdge;
- Enterprise Storage – HPE & Dell EMC Storage and Replication Products, including HyperConverged Platforms;
- Virtualisation – VMware vSphere & Windows HyperV;
- Datacentre Replication Tools and Stretched Clusters;
- Backup and Recovery Solutions – Dell EMC Backup Suite & Veeam Backup and Replication; and
- Storage Networking – Brocade FC Networking & Cisco MDS Networking.
- Document proposed and implemented solutions;
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, applying a customer focussed approach; and
- Provide sales and/or presales assistance as required.
What experience will I need?
The Storage & Virtualisation Consultant will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer facing, technical role;
- The ability to work autonomously or in small teams to complete client outcomes;
- Experience in conducting client workshops with all levels of stakeholders;
- Demonstrated experience in delivering Server, Storage, Virtualisation, Backup & Recovery, and Storage Networking solutions;
- Excellent documentation skills; and
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exposure to the following would be highly regarded:
- NetAPP and Pure Storage – Storage and Replication Products;
- LAN Networking – Cisco, Aruba & Dell ToR Switching; and
- Cloud XaaS technologies – Azure & AWS.
What Key Qualifications, Certifications & Training will I need?
The Storage & Virtualisation Consultant will:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in an IT related discipline is desirable;
- Hold or be willing to obtain current Microsoft Cloud certifications; and
- Hold a Current Australian Department of Defence security clearance.
