Scrum Master

What you’ll be doing

Atturra is looking for an experienced Scrum Master, for a contract position in either Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne for a busy Federal Government project.

We are seeking self-starters who have a passion for innovative technology and driving customer transformation. Able to communicate with a variety of different audiences and have strong presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical groups along with handling critical customer issues is important for this role.

This contract role will go until 30 June 2024, with a further 12-month extension option.

It is a non-negotiable that you are able work in the office 3 days per week in either the Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne office, with the 2 other days available to work from home.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from clients or stakeholders)
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  • Help teams implement changes effectively
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product
  • Master delivering applications with experience facilitating up to 3-4 scrum teams at a time.


What will make you successful in this role?

  • 4 + years demonstrable Scrum Master experience, leading 2 or more Scrum teams, (likely with azure DevOps as the tool
  • MUST have an active Baseline Security Clearance to apply
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to effectively recognise and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High level of enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and highly self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
