About the role: 

This exciting new role will play a pivotal role in growing an emerging cyber security capability. Mantel Group has since inception worked closely with regulated clients across our brands with a deep focus on Cyber Security, Governance Risk and Compliance. This position will join a new capability which will focus exclusively on Cyber Security working with our existing clients in partnership with the other Mantel Group brands where appropriate.

This position will have a wide remit, covering leading client engagements, stakeholder management, delivery of solutions, strong background in Infrastructure, Data and/or Application Security; identity and access management, privacy and data protection, and threat & vulnerability management process and policy. The role requires a proven ability to integrate and configure security tools into new or existing software delivery pipelines.

The types of projects include:

• Leading large scale security review projects for enterprise customers
• Specifying and negotiating security requirements on projects, reviewing current policies and procedures for applicability, and effectiveness.
• Providing industry experience and recommendation across a wide range of technologies and solutions
• Cloud Security - experience in reviewing, designing and implementing secure solutions on one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Architect, Design, Build and deploy data, application and infrastructure security solutions in AWS, other Cloud environments, such as, Azure, GCP will be an advantage
• Identity Management and Federation with implementation experience over a range of technologies, i.e. Active Directory, OKTA, PingIdentity, AWS SSO
• Software Security Integration with developer build tools such as, GitlabCI, Github Actions, AWS CodeBuild, GCP CloudBuild, Buildkite, etc
• Provides compliance assurance and definition for security processes, including and not limited to SOC / ISO / APRA / ISM / PCI-DSS
• Vulnerability assessments, SAST, DAST, SCA, and passive scanning
• Conduct Security Review Processes for:
• Security Architecture and Design
• Secure Coding
• Security Testing

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Willingness to continually upskill; including learning new technologies and obtaining new certifications
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills, including strong stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills
• Experience in mentoring and leading junior engineers
• Experience in leading teams and projects
• Bring a positive can-do attitude to the team, with a developer-friendly problem solving orientation (shifting security left)
• Hands-on experience implementing security solutions
• Extensive experience working in regulated environments
• Deep knowledge of compliance assurance and definition for security processes, including and not limited to SOC / ISO / APRA / ISM / PCI-DSS
• Knowledge of IT Security solutions and best practices with experience in implementation of a variety of solutions and technologies

Nice to have:

• Industry certifications (i.e. CISSP)
• Auditing experience (i.e. PCI or ISO certified auditor)
• Cloud certifications (i.e. AWS Security Certified)
• Development experience
