As a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, you will be part of a high-performing team with unparalleled visibility into the region's cyber threat landscape.


At CyberCX we are building a uniquely Australia and New Zealand focused cyber intelligence capability. As a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, you will be part of a high-performing team with unparalleled visibility into the region’s cyber threat landscape. You will provide real-time intelligence support to some of the region’s most high-profile cyber incidents, provide threat information to inform the decisions of internal and customer security teams, and support the production of assessments and products that will help secure Australian and New Zealand communities and organisations.


You’ll be responsible for:

  • Monitor the global threat landscape to escalate regionally relevant threats (e.g. exploited vulnerabilities) and threat information (e.g. indicators of compromise) for appropriate action.
  • Collect, validate and analyse information from diverse closed and open sources relevant to the team’s intelligence requirements, including material developments in the A&NZ strategic context and adversary tradecraft.
  • Prepare high-quality, timely research briefs and analytical assessments to support production of diverse products and services (including drafting responses to RFIs, case studies, threat actor profiles and threat advisories, organisational threat assessments and intelligence updates).
  • Engage with internal and external customers to: source analytical and technical information; understand their intelligence requirements; brief intelligence assessments and empower customers to use them; and elicit feedback on services.
  • Provide general project support to the team and on customer engagements, as required.

About you:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and analyse trends in disparate information
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce oral and written products with structure, clarity and precision
  • Experience and depth of knowledge in understanding the cyber threat landscape, demonstrated for example by one or more of the following:
  • 0-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Industry qualifications (e.g. SANS FOR578, SEC599)
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK framework, Cyber Kill Chain, CIA Triad, Diamond Model)
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a field related to cyber security, computer science, international security or cognate discipline.
  • An active AGSVA clearance, or the willingness and ability to attain one, is desirable
