In my 20 years print career I have never dealt with a more disorganised and unreliable printer supply company, their service is appalling! We are a very large security printers with multiple large digital presses all under service agreements with Xerox and other companies, we purchased a smaller Cannon machine for our origination department, and were keen to start using it but due to driver issues could not get the machine to work properly on our studio Apple Mac or PC. We called ASL who sent their engineer to us, however he missed his original appointment time in the morning but eventually turned up on Friday afternoon at closing time. Unfortunately he did not have the expertise to fix the driver problem as he didn't have the knowledge of apple's, but made the effort to call his colleagues which proved a little difficult as most people had gone home, but did manage to run out a few copies. He agreed he would go away and figure out a resolution and come back, a week later he came back, and still couldn't fix the issue, this time he deleted the driver so that now the mac won't print at all. He then went away again and we haven't heard from them since. I then phoned on Wednesday this week and after taking my complaint and details was assured someone would contact me ASAP. It's now Friday morning and I have had to phone them yet again! This time I hope they take it seriously as would never take another machine from this Mickey Mouse outfit again. If your a print company avoid Cannon printers and ASL like the plague! If anyone can't Cannon can't and ASL wont!
We had a copier machine from them when we wanted to terminate they wanted us to pay 100 £ to end the contract. I would highly recomend one stay away from this company.
In the first two weeks after the Ricoh press was installed we increased our workload by 50 percent. There are places I want the company to grow and now that is possible through our partnership with ASL and Ricoh. Our new digital print solution gives us the option to offer so many more services to customers and it is fast becoming the life blood of our business.
The decision to award ASL the contract for the new printer fleet wasn’t just based on price, also the level of service we would receive. We look for a partner, not just a supplier, who deliver equipment we can rely on and give full service support. ASL ticked all the boxes. We reduced print spend without compromising the level of service.
The new Ricoh press and support we’ve had from ASL has been a step change for Twenty10. Our customers are under pressure to differentiate brands and produce more creative, striking collateral and now we have the technology to meet that demand. We’re enabling existing customers to do more, but we’ve also opened new markets and opportunities that I think we would have struggled to win previously.
