We pride ourselves on being open every day. An office move was a really big deal for us and one of our biggest concerns was making sure that our customers didn’t have any delay in service as a result of the move. Texaport allowed us to keep working until 5pm in the old office on the Friday, and we were totally up and running in the new office at 8am the following Monday. It was a really stressful time but they did everything and made the whole process really easy.
The thing that’s great about Texaport is the personal service. With other companies, it’s a case of taking a ticket and joining a queue whereas we can just give Texaport a call. They know our business and they sort things quickly, whether it’s as simple as adding a new user or totally rewiring the office.Summerhall is a large, complicated site. Our IT setup is absolutely vital to our day-to-day operations. We like to constantly change the way we do things. Adapting is part and parcel of being a leading arts venue. If we need to knock a wall down, or change a library into a gallery, or completely overhaul an event space – we’ll do it. Texaport have been consistently great at dealing with our requests, coming up with solutions for whatever we throw at them.
If the WiFi goes does for even a moment – we’re stuffed. We’re lucky that Texaport are based on site because they’re always there and we know we can rely on them. That, and they’re nice people to work with.Our IT needs are about as basic as they come. We need computers for invoicing, email, marketing and back-ups. It’s nothing complicated but it needs to be there. And it needs to be reliable. I just want to concentrate on making beer. IT shouldn’t have to be a worry, and I’m lucky that with Texaport – it isn’t.
If Texaport weren’t based at Summerhall, I don’t think I’d ever see them because things rarely go wrong. Although like most of my suppliers, they are very supportive of my beer and it’s nice to see then down The Royal Dick for a pint.
